This project offers a class teaching children to use drawing to build connection with their internal world and their communities.The children's storybooks will be scanned and uploaded to form a online collection, open to public viewing and download.
The class activities include: self-portrait, field trip, visualizing poetry, community research and drawing storybooks. For the final product, the students are encouraged to collect folk stories from their elders in the community and draw storybooks based on their research. Students also have option to draw storybooks about themselves or their fantacy world.
The instructor is currently seeking help for translating these children's books into different languages in order to share them with children across different countries.
